KARACHI, December 13, 2012: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) was adjudged the largest corporate giver by total volume of donations for 2011 at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards hosted by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy in Karachi on December 12. The company bagged the award for the eighth consecutive year in the same category.

Karachi, October 9, 2012: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) bagged the Best Corporate Report Award (BCRA) in the Fuel and Energy sector for its Annual Report 2011. The company stood first among five shortlisted organizations. PPL was also adjudged as runner-up across all sectors.

Karachi, September 28, 2012:The 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) was held on September 28, 2012.  

KUWAIT, September 11, 2012: Director General Petroleum Concessions, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Qazi Saleem Siddiqui and Chairman and Managing Director, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) Nizar M. Al-Adsani signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Letter of Intent for Jati Block in Sindh on a strategic partnership basis at the headquarters of KUFPEC in Kuwait on September 11.

Pakistan Petroleum Limited announces Scholarship Scheme 2012-2013 under a 4-year Education plan from Class 9th to 12th for students of Balochistan.   

KARACHI, August 24, 2012: “International exploration not to compromise domestic programme,” says MD, PPL. Pakistan Petroleum Limited was among eight companies worldwide to prequalify for participation in bidding of six exploration blocks in the Afghan-Tajik Basin offered recently by the Afghanistan government.

PPL initials contract for acquiring exploration rights in Iraq: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) initialled contract on July 15, 2012 to explore hydrocarbon reserves as operator in Block 8, Iraq, spanning an area of 6000 square kilometres in the Diyala and Wasit governorates.
