KARACHI, September 30, 2013: The 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) was held on September 30, 2013.The AGM approved financial statements together with the auditor’s report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2013 besides payment of final cash dividend and issue of bonus shares.
PPL announces Higher Professional Education Scholarship Schemes 2013: In order to promote quality education around its operational areas, PPL Welfare Trust founded by Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) announces special scholarship schemes for students presently enrolled in Professional Bachelor's/ Master's Level degree programmes.
DISTRICT SANGHAR, August 26, 2013: Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi visited Gambat South Block in District Sanghar, Sindh on August 26 to mark recent discoveries made by Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), the operator of the block. The visit reiterates the government’s stake in promoting oil and gas exploration to plug the energy deficit faced by the country on the one hand and the importance of the discovery by PPL on the other.
KARACHI, July 22, 2013: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), the operator of Block 2568-18 (Gambat South) EL with 65 percent working interest (WI) along with its joint venture partners Government Holdings (Private) Limited and Asia Resources Oil Limited with 25 percent and 10 percent WI, respectively has announced a gas and condensate discovery over its second exploration well Shahdad X-1 located in District Sanghar, Sindh. This is the second discovery in the block in as many wells, as the first well Wafiq X-1 had also resulted in a gas and condensate discovery.
KARACHI July 2, 2013: Pakistan Petroleum Limited, operator of Block 2568-13, Hala, with 65 percent working interest along with its joint venture partner Mari Petroleum Company Limited with 35 percent interest have announced the successful production testing of gas-condensate from a deeper reservoir at Adam X-1 exploration well, located in District Sanghar, Sindh.
ISLAMABAD, June 28, 2013: A signing event for Joint Study Agreement for Pakistan Offshore Exploration and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Kandhkot Gas-to-Power Project between Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Orion Energy Plc., an oil and gas exploration company based in UK with offices in Milan, Italy, took place at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
