MANAGER / SENIOR MANAGER DRILLING OPERATIONS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related engineering discipline with more than 15 years of experience in drilling operations, including onshore and offshore drilling, with at least 5 years in a managerial position, leading a team of drilling professionals in a reputable E&P company. Candidates possessing a master’s degree would be preferred.
Job Profile / Specifications
- Possess management level experience in drilling and workover operations of offshore and onshore, HPHT oil and gas wells
- Have experience of planning, managing and execution of drilling operations for exploratory and development wells as well as execution of work-over operations in offshore and onshore environment
- Able to prepare drilling and work-over programmes, well cost estimates, ITBS as well as supervise and monitor daily drilling progress
- Possess knowledge to undertake technical audit of rig(s) earmarked for operations
- Have expertise in API, IADC and other industry relevant drilling and safety standards with experience in developing drilling management systems, standard practices and policies
- Well versed with QMS and HSE regulations to ensure compliance
- Able to develop company procedures, operational and safety manuals
- Capable of managing drilling & work-over related contracts, procurement practices and contracts negotiation
- Capable of managing PPL-owned fleet rigs and enhance their operational capabilities in compliance with industry recognized safety and technical standards
- Able to coordinate with different departments to manage resources and deliver wells with reliable integrity to meet company’s business plan
- Possess advanced level knowledge in well control complexities, managing pressure drilling, smart completion, extended reach and multilateral well design and rigs selection
- Have previously managed/ supervised multistring rig operations
