Head of Human Resources

Adeel Rahmani is a seasoned Human Resource professional with more than 26 years of rich working experience with leading international and national exploration & production (E&P) companies. 

Mr. Rahmani joined Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) in 2016 as Manager Human Resources (MHR). He initially managed Compensation & Benefits with subsequent addition of Talent Acquisition to his portfolio. During his tenure as MHR, he was instrumental in digitizing HR records, revamping performance management system, implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, automation of HR processes and improving employee engagement.

He was promoted as Head of Human Resources on April 28, 2022, to oversee the HR function, including Talent Management, HR Compliance, Industrial Relations and Medical Services departments. In his current role, Mr. Rahmani has successfully concluded CBA union agreement, implemented organizational restructuring and developed succession plans for key positions. 

Mr. Rahmani is a globally certified HR professional (SHRM-SCP) from Society of Human Resource Management, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Karachi and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Adamson University, Manila, Philippines.  He has also earned a management diploma from Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Prior to joining PPL, Mr. Rahmani has worked for over 20 years with renowned international E&P companies, including OMV Pakistan Exploration GmbH, British Petroleum and Union Texas Petroleum Inc. He held leadership positions in OMV before joining PPL.

Additionally, he is President, PPL staff club, Karachi and Chairman and management representative of Board of Trustees of PPL workers’ profit participation fund. He is also a member of Board of Governors of Pakistan Society for Training & Development (PSTD) and its Human Resource and Audit committees.

He has attended various international and national professional trainings, including a 2-year leadership development programme with sessions held in Romania and Austria.
