Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) promotes learning and development of promising youth keen to pursue careers in the oil and gas sector. The company invests in hands-on-learning of internees for a specific period during their academic programme to give them exposure to a professional working environment.
The company’s internship programme is designed for third-year students enrolled in four-year Bachelor's programmes or second-year students in postgraduate programme who have maintained an excellent academic record. Internships are provided to students from various engineering disciplines, Information Technology, Geology & Geophysics, Finance, Business Administration and other relevant areas.
The internship programme is usually offered, both at the head office and field locations, during summer (June to September) and winter (December to February) vacations for a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
The placement of interns is tailored according to their core academic interests and abilities. Ample opportunities are provided to interact with mid-level management to learn from their experiences.
The company also pays a reasonable allowance to internees at head office while messing and lodging is provided to field-based internees.
