CyberKnife technology equipment donated by PPL to Patients Aid Foundation for treatment of cancer patients at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center

Every year, over 1.5 million patients seek treatment at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), which is unable to handle public healthcare challenge on its own. Hence, Patients Aid Foundation (PAF) and other donors provide the required support, including PPL. Recently, PPL assisted PAF with Rs. 0.9 million to support its operations.

Earlier, PPL collaborated with JPMC through PAF for treatment of 50 cancer patients belonging to the company’s producing fields in Sindh and Balochistan through CyberKnife technology between 2011 and 2013.

In 2015, PPL sponsored construction of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Tuberculosis Ward at Department of Chest Medicine, JPMC together with air conditioners for the ICU in 2016 with an input of Rs. 23.5 million.
