Kandhkot: October 7, 2017: Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi formally marked the exceptional production enhancement at Kandhkot Gas Field (KGF) during a well-attended event hosted by Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). Minister of State for Petroleum Division, Ministry of Energy Jam Kamal Khan, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair and other provincial and local government officials, area notables and media as well as company directors and staff were present on the occasion.

Karachi: August 4, 2017: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) donated Rs. 6.85 million to Association for Children with Emotional and Learning Problems (ACELP) for equipment of vocational training workshops and a student transport vehicle.  MD & CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari handed over the donation cheque to President, ACELP Zainab Mehar Hasan at a simple event attended by officials from both organizations at PPL’s head office.

Karachi, July 20, 2017:Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) recently drilled and completed tight gas horizontal well Naushahro Feroz (NF) Hor-1.

At total depth of 4940 metres and 1.3 km horizontal section in Chiltan Formation, NF Hor -1 is one of the deepest and longest horizontal wells in tight gas reservoir drilled in Pakistan. It is also the country’s first well to be completed with ten-stage multi-frack. 

Karachi: June 7, 2017: “As a major stakeholder in fulfilling the country’s energy requirements, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) remains committed to investing in human resource development and use of latest technology for the Exploration & Production sector through academia-industry partnership under its CSR programme,” highlighted MD and CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari during the handing over of the first tranche to NED University of Engineering and Technology (NED) for the PPL Chair in Petroleum Engineering (PE). As such, the company has committed an overall grant of Rs. 50 million over the next five years with an annual disbursement of nearly Rs. 10 million.

Karachi: June 1, 2017: In line with its commitment to Government of Pakistan to enhance gas production, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) achieved a breakthrough by increasing sales gas from Kandhkot Gas Field (KGF) to 230 MMscfd ahead of time and is ready to ramp it up further to 250 MMscfd when required. The field was earlier supplying an average of 180 MMscfd gas to Guddu Thermal Power Station.

Karachi, May 2, 2017: MD & CEO Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Syed Wamiq Bokhari inaugurated the PPL-funded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Indus Hospital (IH)’s Shaikh Saeed Memorial Campus (SSMC), Karachi on May 2. CEO, IH Dr. Abdul Bari Khan and Senior Manager Administration, SSMC Dr. Farah Barialong with representatives from both organizationswere present at the event. 

KARACHI, May 1, 2017: Pakistan Petroleum Limited the operator of Gambat South Block with 65 percent working interest (WI) along with its joint venture partners Government Holdings Private Limited and Asia Resources Oil Limited with 25 percent and 10 percent WI, respectively, has announced a gas discovery at its exploration well Zafir X-1 located in District Sanghar, Sindh.

Quetta, April 2, 2017: The final of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup 2017 ─ the country’s largest-ever sponsored football tournament ─ was played between Panjgur and Chaman on April 2 at Ayub Football Stadium, Quetta. Panjgur lifted the winner’s trophy. Earlier, Chaman faced Quetta City and Panjgur clashed with Quetta DFA in the semi-finals on March 31.

Quetta, March 20, 2017: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup 2017 ─ the country’s largest-ever sponsored football tournament ─ entered its final round on March 20 following conclusion of qualification round matches in six provincial divisions of Quetta, Kalat, Makran, Sibi, Zhob and Naseerabad. Nushki, Quetta City, Loralai, Sherani, Turbat, Panjgur, Kharan, Lasbela, Sibi and Jaffarabad emerged as the successful teams moving into the final round along with Quetta and Chaman, winner and runner-up of the 2016 tournament.
