Pakistan Petroleum Limited Football Club (PPL-FC) won their first group match against Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD) with a 2-0 scoreline in the Pakistan Football Federation’s National Challenge Cup 2018 on April 25 at the Karachi Port Trust Football Stadium.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), operator of Adhi Field, together with its joint venture partners Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan Oilfields Limited, commenced first oil production from well Adhi South X-1, a recent oil and gas discovery located in Rawalpindi District, Punjab.

Quetta, March 30, 2018: Dukki lifted the winner’s trophy at the final of the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup 2018 ─ the country’s largest-ever sponsored football tournament played between Quetta and Dukki on March 30 at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Malibagh), Quetta. Earlier, Chaman faced Quetta and Dukki clashed with Gwadar in the semi-finals on March 28.
Karachi: March 14, 2018: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) donated Rs. 20 million to Indus Hospital (IH) for construction and setting-up of an 8-bed general ward at its upcoming Lahore-based facility. MD & CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari presented the donation cheque to Executive Director Medical Services, Indus Health Network Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf and Senior Manager Administration, Sheikh Saeed Memorial Campus (SSMC), IH Dr. Farah Bari in the presence of representatives from both organizations at PPL’s head office in Karachi.
Karachi, March 9, 2018: Pakistan Petroleum Limited, operator of Adhi Field, together with its joint venture partners Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan Oilfields Limited has discovered hydrocarbons from exploratory well Adhi South X-1, located in Rawalpindi District, Punjab. The prospect was delineated on the basis of 3D seismic data and the well was drilled and tested utilizing indigenous expertise.
Quetta, February 28, 2018: The country’s largest-ever sponsored football tournament, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup 2018, moved into the final round following culmination of qualifying round matches from all provincial divisions. Kharan, Lasbela, Harnai, Gwadar, DFA Quetta, Quetta City, Qilla Saifullah, Kacchi, Chaman City and Duki successfully entered the final round along with Panjgur and DFA Chaman, winner and runner-up of the 2017 tournament.
Karachi, February 16, 2018: After two successful football tournaments in Balochistan, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) brings forth the country’s largest-ever sponsored football tournament, PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2018 (PBFC 2018) starting February 17 with qualifying round matches in six provincial divisions: Quetta, Kalat, Makran, Sibi, Zhob and Naseerabad. The final round will commence on March 1 at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Malibagh), Quetta with semi-finals and final on March 28 and 30, respectively which will be telecasted live.
Karachi: February 13, 2018: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) donated Rs. 9.02 million to Lady Dufferin Hospital (LDH), Karachi for purchasing equipment for its operation theatre. MD & CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari presented the donation cheque to Member Management Committee LDH Dr. Faridon Setna and Medical Superintendent LDH Dr. Zeryab Setna at the head office in the presence of representatives from both organizations.
Karachi: February 7, 2018: “As a leading national Exploration & Production company, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) remains committed to strengthening academia-industry partnership for nurturing young talent informed with latest research and technology,” highlighted MD and CEO PPL Syed Wamiq Bokhari during handing over of Rs. 7 million grant for operationalizing a Petroleum Engineering (PE) Chair at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. PPL has committed nearly Rs. 50 million over the next five years for the PE Chair.
