MANAGER CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

This position will report to General Manager Shared Services and be responsible for implementing an effective corporate communications strategy for fulfilling outreach requirements to project a positive image of PPL among stakeholders, including media, using available communication tools. The job holder will define, implement, manage and monitor external and internal communications strategy and plans, including events with media, public as well as website.

Job Profile / Specifications
  • Possess proven ability to independently develop strategic content, maintaining strategic and wide-ranging contacts in the print, electronic, social, and online for building and maintaining image of the company as well as proactively dealing with repute threatening content and media coverage 
  • Ability to generate and capitalize on available opportunities for coverage of company news and management viewpoint in media
  • Ability to manage media interface as focal point independently and prudently for the company as per approved policy.
  • Ability to interact with relevant media professionals, often on short notice, for company’s projection, events in offices and in field locations
  • Capacity and experience to conduct analysis of daily monitoring of all media with the view to sifting information affecting the company and formulate strategy to project positive image of the company
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent standards of content writing, both in English and Urdu languages
  • Capable of developing and implementing an effective Corporate Communications Strategy that builds and maintains positive branding for the company
  • Ability to ensure editorial integrity, quality, and timeliness of all outreach material
  • Capable of building and effectively managing efficient team for any corporate communication-related matter

Qualification and Experience

Master’s degree in mass communication/ strategic and organizational communications/ digital marketing & communications from reputable local or foreign institutions/ universities recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan with minimum 20 years of active and relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position. Experience in a media house and/ E&P industry would be preferred.
