Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Indus Hospital’s Shaikh Saeed Memorial Campus Karachi operationalized through PPL’s support

The Indus Hospital (IH) provides free-of-cost, quality healthcare to the marginalized patients across Pakistan. Established in 2007 in Karachi, IH reaches to over 2000 in- and out-patients on a daily basis through its 11 owned and operated facilities across the country.

PPL has been supporting IH since 2008 to expand its facilities and operations overtime. These include a donation of Rs. 20 million for construction and setting-up of an 8-bed general ward at IH Punjab in 2018.

In 2016, PPL provided Rs. 12.4 million to IH for operationalization of a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at IH’s Shaikh Saeed Memorial Campus.

Earlier, the company provided Rs. 5 million for IH’s multi-drug resistant tuberculosis programme in 2008.
