Ghauri Block
Ghauri Block straddles Rawalpindi and Jehlum districts in the Punjab. The block's exploration license was formally awarded to MPCL in February 2010. So far, two discoveries Ghuari & Dharian have been made in June 2014 & April 2019, respectively.
Ghauri D&PL was granted in January 2016. A third well, Miraj X-1, was drilled but remained unsuccessful.
Dharian X-1 is currently producing under early well testing phase while Ghauri X-1 is shut-in due to jet pump cavitation issues. Evaluation is under progress to revive production from the well.
