GENERAL MANAGER STRATEGY AND BUSINESS EXCELLENCE
This position will report to CEO and be fully accountable for assisting in formulation of company’s medium and long-term strategy, reviewing and optimizing company’s portfolio, monitoring and tracking performance against business plans. This position will play a pivotal role in formation of enterprise risk management framework policy, identifying and evaluating business development opportunities as well as maintaining and overseeing company’s business continuity plan.
- Able to apply business and marketplace knowledge to advance the organization's goals. Maintains ample, up-to-date business and industry knowledge in order to make sound decisions for the company. Understands policies and other external factors affecting the organization.
- Capable of seeing ahead to future possibilities and translates them into breakthrough strategies and is a strong big-picture thinker, makes frequent, clear references to the organization's vision and strategy and the efforts required to drive them forward. Effectively integrates long-term opportunities and challenges with day-to-day activities
- Able to develop a comprehensive policy framework for Enterprise Risk Management and oversee its implementation, ensuring integration with the broader corporate policy framework and compliance with national legal and regulatory requirements
- Able to lead strategic risk modelling and scenario planning for business-critical decisions to support corporate strategy and identify and mitigate risks in line with the risk appetite. Advise on strategic modelling of risk scenarios to comply with the risk appetite
- Capable of providing specialist advice to management and Board to guide the implementation of enterprise risk management policy and design and implementation of key risk/ performance indicators
- Able to make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems which anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Able to ensure periodic updating of Business Continuity Management System through regular drills and training
- Capable of leading improvement programmes by deploying relevant methodologies.
- Able to identify, manage and report on all internal control deficiencies in real-time and work with business process owners to facilitate creation of action plans and remediation timetables to correct deficiencies.
- Capable of managing cross-functional projects to drive improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits and achieve goals in line with the company’s vision
Chartered Accountant and/ or bachelor’s or master’s degree in petroleum/ mechanical/ chemical or related engineering discipline from reputable local or foreign institutions/ universities recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, preferably from a foreign university, with minimum 22 years of experience, including at least 7 years in a management position, preferably in an E&P company.
