Compression Projects

The Compression Projects Department (CPD) was established in 1982 to conceptualize requirements for Sui Field Gas Compression Station which was completed in 1986. In 1994, CP installed the Seventh Sui Main Limestone and three Sui Upper Limestone Gas Compression trains. Since then, the department has been planning and executing major projects, including Kandhkot Field Gas Compression Station and Chachar Gas Compression project, to meet company’s production requirements.

The department’s responsibilities include preparation of budget and project details, material and equipment specifications, working with Materials and Contracts for bids invitation and contract awards for outsource work, review of design and engineering documents and monitoring work progress according to Health, Safety and Environment and Quality Management standards. Moreover, the department also participates in various project-based studies to ensure quality, safety and adequacy of production requirements.
