Miano Gas field is located in Sindh. It is a joint venture between OMV (Pakistan) Exploration GmbH (Austria), Eni Pakistan Limited (Italy), Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited. PPL's share in the joint venture is 15.16 percent. A total of eleven wells have been drilled in the lease area.

Total 13 wells have been drilled in Miano Field out of which six (6) wells are currently on production.

As per Joint Utilization Agreement executed between Miano and Kadanwari Joint Ventures and Government, Miano raw gas is being processed at Kadanwari gas processing plant. At present, Kadanwari plant is processing an average 120 MMscfd of sales gas from Miano and Kadanwari, out of which Miano sales is 73 MMscfd.

To meet contractual commitments, wellhead compression is being installed at two Miano wells. In second phase, wellhead compression equipment would be installed at other four Miano wells, out of four units two would be installed in 2nd quarter 2009 and two by 1st quarter 2010.

The average daily sale during 1st quarter of 2008-09 from the field was 73 MMscfd of purified gas and 84 barrels of condensate.
