Adhi is a joint venture between PPL, POL and OGDCL. PPL is the operator with a 39% working interest.
Total 18 wells have been drilled in Adhi Field out of which nine (9) wells are currently on production from Tobra/Khwera reservoir while two well from Sakesar formation.
Production from Adhi Field commenced in 1980 with the completion of discovery well-5 through an early production facility. Four additional wells were drilled till year 1989. An LPG/NGL Plant-I capable of processing 25 MMcfd wet gas feed was completed and regular production commenced in January, 1991 with five producing wells.
Following a 3D Seismic Survey conducted in 1998, which indicated potential for larger oil and gas reserves, a re-evaluation of reserves was undertaken which predicted increased recoverable reserves of hydrocarbons in Khewra and Tobra Reservoirs. Therefore, 5 more wells were drilled and the existing LPG/NGL Recovery Facilities was doubled by installing another Plant of similar capacity to process 25 MMscfd wet gas for producing 20 MMscfd gas, and average 70-80 tons LPG and about 2500 barrel NGL.
The average daily sale during 1st quarter of 2008-09 from the field was 36.6 MMscfd gas, 3,148 barrels of NGL, 1,232 barrels of crude oil and 136 tonnes of LPG.
