The Public Relations

The Public Relations (PR) Department is responsible for fulfilling all the corporate communication needs of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and projecting a positive company image with all stakeholders, including external publics and media.

The department houses a state-of-the-art desktop publishing facility to develop various in-house communication products and publications, including PPL monthly magazine Progress, technical booklets, diaries, calendars and corporate and thematic brochures. The PR staff handles all aspects of the publications including content development, editing, translation, layout designing and proof reading together with printing supervision. Moreover the department is also in-charge of developing and updating PPL’s Corporate and Corporate Social Responsibility Documentaries.  The department provides support for company-based events and activities.

The PPL Website is developed and managed by the PR Department which is responsible for its design elements, layout and content in coordination with relevant departments.  

Media liaison is one of the key functions of the department which includes active engagement with journalists/reporters and their participation in major company events and activities for comprehensive coverage in both print and electronic media. The department also arranges appropriate interface of the senior management with media and issues Press Releases where required. Besides, the department oversees publishing of corporate and job advertisements and tenders in relevant newspapers.

Donations and sponsorships are also processed in collaboration with the Community Development Department. The PR Department facilitates senior management participation in various conferences and seminars. Besides, the department also manages PPL’s photo archives.
