Sui Model School & Girls College

Sui Model School & Girls College

Sui Model School and Girls Collage began as a primary school in 1957 to provide education for children of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) employees and local communities living in and around the field who did not have access to quality academic institutions.

Healthcare

Access to healthcare facilities is a basic civic requirement especially where families live in joint family system in small homes, belongs to low income group and work hard to earn their livelihood, raise their children and share basic amenities with each other. Consequently, suffers from health issues and epidemic diseases and they does not have access to health care facilities.

Infrastructure Development

Meaningful, durable infrastructure is a crucial part of development. In Pakistan, especially in far-flung areas, such facilities are either not available or of poor quality. This results in a large population, particularly the disadvantaged, leading a marginalized life without access to basic facilities such as road networks, schools and potable water.

Post-disaster Rehabilitation

Due mainly to environmental factors, especially Climate Change, natural disasters have become a regular feature across the globe, wreaking havoc on people and infrastructure. Natural disasters can become particularly destructive and grave for countries such as Pakistan, where preparedness and mitigation are not streamlined.

Livelihood Generation

Today, over one-third of Pakistan’s 190 million people survive below the poverty line, unable to bear the cost of basic food, clothing and shelter. As education, health and infrastructure facilities take centre stage in development work besides food, shelter and clothing, providing opportunities for livelihood generation on a sustainable basis becomes increasingly important.
