Loss Prevention Department was established at the Pakistan Petroleum Limited in 1983 with a view to achieving zero injury and incident. Later in 1997, the department was renamed to Health, Safety & Environment with enhanced scope to cover activities beyond the preview of injury and incident with defined roles and responsibilities of individuals at the head office and fields.
